Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The short version: FRETTLIFT has no user accounts and doesn't need any personal information to work. Your routines and practice history stay on your device. The only things that reach us are feedback you choose to send and, if you allow it, anonymous usage analytics.

What data we collect

You don't need to give us anything to use FRETTLIFT. No name, email, location, payment details or account is required. We only receive information in two cases:

Like any website, our hosting provider also handles some technical information when it delivers the pages. See "Hosting" below.

Your practice data

Your routines, session history (exercise names, BPM, sets, dates) and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. This means they live on your device. They are not sent to us or to any server, and we have no way to access them. Clearing your browser data will erase them. Cross-device sync is not available yet.

Backups

You can save a backup file of your routines and practice history from the app. The file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to save it. We never receive a copy. If you save it to a cloud service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply to the file.

Feedback form

If you send feedback through the in-app form, we receive your answers, anything you type in the text box, the number of sessions you've logged and the time you sent it. Submissions are collected and stored by Netlify Forms on our behalf. Please don't include personal details unless you want us to reply. To have a submission deleted, email hello@frett.app.

Hosting

FRETTLIFT is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure. See Netlify's privacy policy.

Third party services

Google Fonts. The app loads typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com. Your browser makes a standard request to Google's servers for the font files. We have no control over what Google logs from this request. See Google's privacy policy.

Microsoft Clarity. We use Clarity for anonymous usage analytics, but only if you allow it. This includes which parts of the app people use, where they tap, and session recordings. Clarity is operated by Microsoft and governed by their privacy policy. We have no control over how Microsoft processes this data on their end. Clarity does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. See Microsoft's privacy statement.

When you first open FRETTLIFT you are asked whether to allow analytics. If you say no, Clarity is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the "Analytics settings" link at the bottom of the app and the About page.

YouTube and Spotify. Some scale screens include buttons to search YouTube or Spotify for a backing track. Nothing is sent unless you tap one. When you do, that service opens with the search phrase shown in the app, and its own privacy policy applies from then on.

We do not use advertising networks, sell data, or share anything with third parties for commercial purposes.

Cookies

FRETTLIFT sets no cookies. If you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity may set cookies on your device as part of how it works. These are not used for advertising and are governed by Microsoft's own privacy policy, not ours.

GDPR

This service operates from the Netherlands and is subject to GDPR. We keep the information we receive to a minimum: optional feedback and, with your permission, anonymous analytics. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@frett.app. If you believe your data has been handled incorrectly, contact us at the same address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Significant changes, such as adding new third party services, will also be noted in the app.
